Project Description

Originally constructed in 2017, Love’s Travel Stop required a parking lot designed to withstand constant heavy truck traffic. By incorporating FORTA-FI in the asphalt wearing course, the pavement thickness was reduced while maintaining structural performance.

This design preserved elevation, minimized excavation, and significantly lowered upfront construction costs, while also reducing long-term maintenance expenses.

Update 

Eight years later, the asphalt pavement continues to exceed performance expectations under daily high-volume truck traffic; proving that engineered asphalt solutions deliver superior performance at a fraction of the cost of rigid pavement alternatives.
