Canada Larga Road
Project Description
A two-mile segment of the two-lane, rural Canada Larga Road in Ventura County, CA was in bad shape after 30 years of use with no major rehabilitation. When it came time to lay new pavement, a 2” rubberized asphalt overlay reinforced with FORTA-FI® was chosen for one mile and a 2” rubberized overlay with no fiber was chosen for the second mile. Cracking on both segments will be evaluated over the next several years.
Update
After 11 years this roadway still shows little signs of cracking on the FORTAfied™ side and will continue to remain Stronger Lasting™ for many years to come.
