Project Description
Using FORTA-FI in asphalt mixtures provides longer-lasting pavement life and decreases costs. This test project utilized FORTA-FI on this access road used for truck deliveries. The road needs to withstand slow-moving and turning heavy truck traffic. FORTA-FI will reinforce the access road making it stronger and more durable than compared to conventional design.
Update
After seven years, this project has remained free from the rutting, raveling, and cracking you would see using traditional asphalt pavements.
