Project Description
FORTA-FI reinforcement fiber was used to save upfront costs on this Wyoming runway project. Due to severe thermal cracks, Sage Civil Engineering designed a pavement section utilizing a Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) layer. This 2” FORTA-FI reinforced asphalt (FRAC) overlay was chosen over other options for its cost savings benefits and for enhanced resistance to thermal cracking. The Rawlins Airport will stay maintenance-free and Stronger Lasting™ for many years to come.
